Kern Oil & Refining Co. closed out the summer with a family picnic at the Kern County Fairgrounds. Employees and their families gathered at a private courtyard on the fairgrounds for a day of delicious catering from Pork Chop & Bubba’s and team games.
Employees and their families got the chance to socialize, eat and enjoy a range of activities set up for the team, including a cornhole tournament, balloon animals and face paintings. The company also gave away miscellaneous gift certificates as door prizes ranging from $10 to $100.
“We work hard and play hard,” said Jennifer Haley, President and CEO. “Our family picnic was a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to not just our hardworking employees, but their families for their continued loyalty and dedication to our work.”
Attendees were also given free admission to the Kern County Fair and wristbands to enjoy the amusement park rides.
